| What is the multi-level outage detection algorithm? |
|
| The Multi-Level Outage Detection algorithm is used by the Edge appliances to properly and accurately determine when a link is active or having problems. This technology is unique in that it has the ability to perform deep path probing to determine the status of a link and the entire route used by the LAN network when access remote resources. Unlike other similar devices the Edge appliance actually employs multiple levels of link analysis. The primary level performs basic ping testing while the second level performs WAN content testing and the third level performs deep path testing to various critically defined networks. This combination of testing mechanisms along with our Virtual Technician ensures that WAN access is highly available. |
